I have been in practice for over 20 years, and in that time I have treated many patients through breast cancer diagnoses and subsequent treatments. When a patient is undergoing chemotherapy or other intensive cancer treatments, they often experience side effects like nausea, extreme exhaustion, insomnia, pain, and more. I have created treatment plans that are tailored to helping to alleviate those symptoms so they are able to continue their lives and caring for themselves through the cancer treatment process. I also focus on immune support and stress management for these patients. My goal is to support them so they are able to focus on fighting their cancer.
Helping my patients through a diagnosis like this is extremely important to me and is an experience that I hold close to my heart. Over the years, I have made sure to always advise my patients (and everyone in my life!) to do self exams regularly. Early detection can make such a huge difference in the outcome of breast cancer especially. I take pride in helping my patients to advocate for themselves and their health- in my office and in all of their other providers’ offices.
With October being Breast cancer awareness month- I want to remind everyone to make a habit of self breast exams and to advocate for yourself if you notice any changes in your body that you are concerned about. – Min K. Jeon LIC. AC
